Raja Singh Controversial Speech -In Solapur, an incident involving BJP MLA Nitesh Rane and a contentious Telangana BJP MLA led to a police case.
During a Hindu public outcry march organized by Sakal Hindu Samaj, allegations arose regarding speeches made by these MLAs, allegedly inciting hate between different communities and religions. As a result, stones were thrown during the march, prompting the police to take action.
This gathering aimed to address Hindutva issues like the repeal of the Waqf Board Acsolapur newst. However, as the march proceeded, speeches by Rane and the Telangana MLA reportedly fueled division among communities, leading to a police complaint by Assistant Faujdar Devidas Valmiki at the Jail Road Police Station. Consequently, cases were registered against the MLAs, including other office-bearers, under sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Maharashtra Police Act for hurting religious sentiments and provoking violence.
Additionally, BJP MP Dr. Jayasiddheshwar Shivacharya and MLA Vijay Deshmukh were part of the procession, although they didn’t join the speakers. Unfortunately, violence erupted during the march, causing damage to shops, injuries to bystanders, and resulting in a police case against unidentified individuals.
This isn’t the first instance of tension during a Hindu public outcry march in Solapur. Earlier events also faced disruptions and allegations of stone pelting. With controversies surrounding these leaders, there have been demands, notably from Shiv Sena’s Sharad Koli, to disallow their gatherings.
Before the recent march, police had cautioned Rane, the Telangana MLA, and the organizers regarding potential legal consequences if they breached the permitted terms and conditions.
The incident highlights the need for peaceful assemblies and adherence to legal guidelines to prevent unrest and safeguard communal harmony.
