Raja Singh Solapur, a BJP leader and MLA from Goshmahal, made a speech urging violence to establish a Hindu Rashtra.
Speaking at an event organized by Sakal Hindu Samaj in Solapur district, he told a group of saffron-clad Hindutva supporters to use violence as a means to create a Hindu Rashtra and address ‘love jihad’.
In his speech, he asked Maharashtra’s chief minister to take strong action against ‘love jihad’ and cow slaughterers. He also threatened consequences if the government didn’t act, using violent language.
Singh also spoke about ‘love jihad’, a term used by some Hindutva supporters to claim that Hindu women are being deceived by Muslim men to convert them to Islam.
“Aaj ‘love jihad’ ke naam par kya hamare behen-bettiyon ka balathkaar nahi ho raha hai kya? Unko fasa kar baccha peda karne ki machine ban rahi hai, “Isn’t it true that our sisters and daughters are being trapped and forced into relationships in the name of Love Jihad? They’re being used as machines to have children,” he stated.
Additionally, he encouraged people to avoid buying anything from Muslim traders and warned against buying halal products like soap, biscuits, or flour. “If you’re buying soap, biscuits, or wheat flour, be cautious about what’s in them. Avoid buying if they’re labeled halal,” he cautioned.
This isn’t the first time Raja Singh has made such speeches. He has a history of delivering hate speeches in Telangana, Maharashtra, and other states. During the Telangana Assembly election campaign, he even warned of violent outcomes if he lost his seat in Goshamahal.
When submitting his nomination papers, Singh acknowledged having 75 criminal cases against him, many related to hate speech in various parts of Telangana and other states. In 2018 alone, he had 43 cases, including 38 for hate speech.
Thakur Raja Singh, also known as Tiger Raja Singh, is a politician from Telangana. He’s currently the MLA representing the Goshamahal Assembly constituency in Hyderabad. He began his political journey with the Telugu Desam Party and later joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2014. However, his association with the BJP saw a suspension on August 23, 2022, following controversial remarks made that year. His suspension was lifted on October 22, 2023. Singh previously held the position of BJP party whip for Telangana. Raja Singh Solapur
