The incident unfolded around 7:30 on Friday, causing traffic disruptions due to ongoing roadwork on the Paithan route.

A tragic incident occurred around 7:30 on Friday under the flyover near Valmi Sanstha on Paithan Road Aurangabad, resulting in the loss of one life and injuries to seven individuals. The mishap unfolded when a speeding truck descended the slope to pass beneath the Valminjik bridge on the Solapur-Dhule highway.

Struggling to control its speed, the truck collided with five to six vehicles, including four to five two-wheelers, two to three cars, and a rickshaw. Amidst the chaos, a two-wheeler became wedged between a car and the truck, leading to a fatality and severe injuries. Additional occupants in the other vehicles sustained injuries, with early reports indicating that three out of the seven victims are in critical condition.

Following the accident, Satara Thane police promptly arrived at the scene, and the injured were swiftly transported for medical attention. The ongoing roadwork on the Paithan route resulted in prolonged traffic disruptions.
