The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has changed the timing for the Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2024. Students will no longer get an extra 10 minutes to read the question papers due to concerns about leaks. Instead, they will have 190 minutes to complete the exams, up from 180 minutes, with exams scheduled from February 21 to March 23 for Class 12 and March 1 to March 22 for Class 10.

The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) changed the timing for the Maharashtra Class 10 and 12 board exams in 2024. Students will no longer receive an extra 10 minutes to read the question papers before the exams begin.
The decision was made because there were cases in previous years where question papers were allegedly leaked during the extra reading time. To prevent this, the board removed the extra reading time and added 10 minutes to the total exam time. Now, instead of having 180 minutes, students will have 190 minutes to complete the exam.
The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) has adjusted the timings for the Maharashtra Board Class 10 and 12 Exams 2024. They will no longer provide an additional 10 minutes for students to read the questions papers before starting the exams.
Maharashtra Board Exam 2024 Timings Revised
This change came after concerns about question paper leaks during the extra reading time in past exams. To address this issue, the board eliminated the extra reading time and extended the total exam time by 10 minutes. As a result, students will now have 190 minutes instead of 180 minutes to complete the exams.
For Class 12 students, exams will start on February 21, while Class 10 exams will begin on March 1, 2024. The Higher Secondary Certificate exam will take place from February 21 to March 23, and the Secondary School Certificate exams will be held from March 1 to March 22, 2023.
