A big problem was averted on Jalna road in Aurangabad Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. A truck carrying HP gas had a leak 5am in the morning on Feb 1 . This leak made it dangerous for people nearby. It happened near Vasantrao Naik College. The leak was so bad that the police had to close down everything in the area. This included shops, hotels, and hospitals. This was to keep people safe from any possible explosions.
The leak started early in the morning. The police quickly told everyone to leave the area. More than 1500 shops had to close for the whole day. These shops included fancy hotels, banks, and even hospitals. The impact spread to Connaught Place, where 700 more shops had to shut down. This affected businesses from Seven hill to API Corner.
Aurangabad Truck Gas Leak Incident -Situation Under Control on Jalna Road
Because this happened in a place where people live, it caused a lot of problems for everyone. The police commissioner, Manoj Lohiya, said they might change the route for big trucks like this one. They want to keep dangerous things away from the city.
The Vyapari Mahasangh, a group of traders, said the shutdown caused a loss of about Rs 50 crore. Sanjay Kankaria, the group’s president, talked about this big loss. He and others met with the police commissioner and city administrator. They talked about what they can do to stop this from happening again.
This incident was hard for everyone who lives or works there. Kankaria said they need to find ways to prevent it. The police commissioner suggested finding other roads for big trucks to use, so they don’t go through the city.
