The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) plans to operate the first Aastha Special train from Vadodara to Ayodhya offering devotees the opportunity for Ram Lalla Darshan.
This special train will commence its journeys after January 22, coinciding with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya. Devotees from over 200 locations across India will also have access to Aastha special trains bound for Ayodhya.
To book tickets for these special trains to Ayodhya, passengers can use the IRCTC portal, which will provide all necessary journey details. It’s important for devotees interested in Ram Lalla Darshan to book return tickets as well.
Due to security concerns, the railways have opted not to include train details in its Passenger Reservation System (PRS). However, round-trip tickets for special Aastha trains can be purchased through the Indian Railway and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) website and app. The decision aims to ensure enhanced security measures and streamline the booking process for passengers, offering convenience and peace of mind during travel arrangements.
Train ticket price is yet not revealed but will be between 680 to 1500 for sleeper class.
Ticket will be available via IRCTC.
The departure from Vadodara to Ayodhya is scheduled for 15:30 PM, with an expected arrival in Ayodhya at 04:25 AM.
For the return journey, departure from Ayodhya is set for 13:00 PM, with arrival in Vadodara at 02:05 PM.
The service will commence from Vadodara on February 24, 2024, with the return journey from Ayodhya scheduled for February 7, 2024.

The Railway Administration says all Aastha trains will have sleeper class coaches. Each train can carry about 1500 passengers. The Indian Railway Catering Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) will handle the train bookings. Bookings are only for groups, and there must be at least 15 people in a group.
These trains will run from January 30 to March 3, departing every two days. Originally, they were planned to depart from different parts of the country. But because there are many people gathering in Ayodhya, the railway might delay the trains there.
This careful approach is to handle the large number of devotees coming from all over the country. The Railway is thinking about changing the schedule of the trains. On the trains, only vegetarian meals will be served.
