Mob Lynching in Aurangabad Bihar 4 Muslim -Aurangabad, Bihar, witnessed a tragic incident on Monday when a dispute over car parking transformed into a violent clash, resulting in the death of four individuals, with three hailing from Jharkhand.
The clash erupted in the Nabinagar locality, sparked by a disagreement between a shopkeeper and a motorist parking in front of the shop.
Despite involving individuals from different communities, the police have ruled out any communal angle to the incident. Aurangabad DSP Mohd Amanullah Khan stated that the clash began when a shopkeeper objected to a car parked in front of his store.
The situation escalated when an occupant of the car reportedly pulled out a gun and fired a shot, leading to the tragic death of an elderly bystander, identified as Ram Sharan Chauhan. In response, angered locals attacked the occupants of the car, resulting in the deaths of Mohd Mujahid, Charan Mansuri, and Mohd Ansari, while two others, Vakil Ansari and Ajeet Sharma, sustained injuries.
The car, arriving from the Palamau district of Jharkhand, stopped in Nabinagar, leading to a heated exchange between the driver and the shopkeeper. The fatal shot fired by one of the car occupants intensified the situation, causing a mob to attack them.
A police party intervened to disperse the mob, but the fatalities had already occurred. The injured were taken to hospitals, with Vakil Ansari in stable condition at the Sadar Hospital in Aurangabad and Ajeet Sharma in critical condition, referred to a hospital in Gaya.
The police are actively investigating the incident, aiming to determine who fired the fatal shot and identify those responsible for attacking the occupants of the car. Despite the tragic outcome, authorities are taking preventive measures to maintain peace in the area.
This unfortunate incident underscores the need for peaceful resolutions to disputes and highlights the potential consequences of confrontations escalating into violence.
