The perpetrators looted ₹10,000 from the victims during the heinous crime.

The Dumka police, on a routine patrol, discovered the distressed couple in the early hours of March 2. Initially assuming a case of assault, the severity of the situation unfolded at the hospital. Medical examination confirmed the brutal gang rape. Dumka Superintendent of Police, Pitambar Singh Kherwar, took immediate action, forming a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to bring the culprits to justice.

The police, based on information provided by the Spanish couple, swiftly conducted raids and apprehended three men involved in the crime. The arrested individuals not only confessed to their involvement but also disclosed the identities of their associates. The investigation is ongoing, with a Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team collecting evidence at the crime scene. Authorities assure that more arrests are imminent.

Political Backlash

The incident has triggered political unrest, with the Opposition BJP condemning the state government for its failure in maintaining law and order. Demanding stringent action against the perpetrators and the removal of Dumka SP, the BJP voices concern over the deteriorating security situation in Jharkhand.

BJP Chief Whip Biranchi Narayan highlighted the need for a robust legal framework to punish those involved in such heinous crimes. The Opposition emphasizes that this incident is not an isolated case and reflects poorly on the state’s image. BJP MLA Anant Ojha expressed concern about the impact on Jharkhand’s reputation, emphasizing the urgent need for addressing law and order issues.

Nishikant Dubey, BJP representative from Godda, took to social media to demand immediate changes in the police administration of Santhal Pargana. He accused the government of promoting crime by inadequately training police officers, calling for a revamp of the entire system.

Brazilian Biker Fernanda Forever Raped in Dumka Jharkhand

In the quietude of Jharkhand’s Dumka district, a horrifying incident unfolded as a 45-year-old Brazilian national was allegedly gang-raped late on a Friday night. The unfortunate episode took place in the Kurumahat area under Hansdiha police station.

The victim, accompanied by her husband, was on a bike when a group of 8-10 people intercepted them, dragging her to a secluded place where the crime occurred. This chilling event turns an ordinary night ride into a harrowing tale of brutality.

Dumka SP Pitamber Singh Kherwar reported that upon seeking help around 10:30pm-11pm, the victim, bearing bruise injuries, stopped a police van on patrol. Subsequently, she was taken to the hospital, disclosing that she had been raped. The police have detained three individuals, and further investigations are underway.
