Noteworthy among these guidelines is the stringent adherence of all bars and permit rooms to a prescribed closure time of 1:30 am. Indoor musical performances are circumscribed by the same temporal limit, while outdoor musical endeavors must conclude by 10:00 pm.

Refinements in the updated orders dictate a cessation of food and liquor orders after 1:15 am, granting an additional 30-minute grace period for establishments to conclude their operations, as opposed to the earlier stipulation of 1:00 am. The police underscored the importance of compliance with the guidelines issued, emphasizing a collaborative effort by all stakeholders.

Ganesh Shetty, president of the Pune Restaurants and Hoteliers Association (PRAHA), voiced concerns over alleged police coercion to compel restaurant closures by 11:30 pm. Shetty advocated for the acknowledgment of business operations until 1:30 am, and requested non-interference in liquor-related cases, citing government directives entrusting such matters to the state excise department.
