Nylon Manja

Nylon Manja :The city’s police officials have made strict rules against making, selling, or using nylon manja until February 28. These rules give the police stations power to act if someone breaks them.

The Police Commissioner wants everyone to know about these rules, so they’re asking for signs to be put up in public places.

The Commissioner used a special law called section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, to make these rules quickly because they saw it as an urgent problem that needed fixing fast.

An activist named Jayesh Shinde, who’s been telling people about how dangerous nylon manja is, thinks the police should also go after the people using these banned threads. He thinks if the police do this before the Makar Sankranti festival, it will stop others from doing it too. He believes the police need to be strict and not let people use these banned threads for flying kites.

The court also got involved after hearing about this problem. They asked for surprise checks to happen in shops that were selling these banned threads. They even said that the licenses of these shops should be taken away. They want the police in Maharashtra to make special groups to handle complaints about nylon manja.

But even though the police made these rules, they haven’t made these special groups yet. Someone named Waseem Quadri, who loves birds and watches them as a hobby, says the authorities need to do more. He thinks they should completely stop nylon manja because it not only hurts people but also harms a lot of birds. He says many birds get hurt or even die because of these dangerous strings, and that’s something people don’t notice much. Quadri strongly believes it’s essential to put an end to the problem of nylon manja once and for all.

The focus is on stopping nylon manja because it’s causing harm to both people and birds, and many believe it’s crucial to take stronger actions to prevent these dangers.
