BJP candidate list 2024 lok sabha

Amidst the unveiling of its inaugural list of 195 contenders for the Lok Sabha (LS) elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has ignited tensions with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde’s Shiv Sena in Maharashtra. This friction precedes the disclosure of candidate rosters for the state, with no official pronouncement regarding the distribution of seats among Sena, BJP, and NCP (Ajit Pawar). Sena aspires to vie for a minimum of 18 seats, with numerous senior party members boldly asserting their entitlement to pivotal constituencies. Some even proclaim their refusal to canvass for BJP nominees in their respective regions.

The eminent leaders involved in this political drama encompass former Sena MP Anandrao Adsul, MP Gajanan Kirtikar, and former minister Ramdas Kadam. Adsul ardently contends for Amravati, yet the Mahayuti alliance, comprising BJP, Shinde-led Sena, and Ajit Pawar-led NCP, appears inclined to offer the candidacy to the incumbent independent MP, Navneet Rana. Adsul vehemently declares, “Amravati LS seat belongs to Shiv Sena. So, I will contest from Amravati.” He further accentuates that Shiv Sena had fielded a candidate in the 2019 elections when the NDA was in coalition. The controversy intensifies as Kadam stakes his claim on Ratnagiri, asserting, “No matter what, we will not leave this constituency.” He rebuffs BJP’s survival strategy, proclaiming the indomitable spirit of Shiv Sena.
