Aurangabad Bus Depot Mind-Blowing Upgrades Revealed

Aurangabad Bus Depot :Aurangabad Smart City Development Corporation is revamping the Jadhavwadi Smart City Bus Depot with modern upgrades. They’re creating modern restrooms and a control room specifically for the Smart City Bus Service’s drivers and conductors.

Covering an extensive seven-acre area, Jadhavwadi Smart City bus depot, catered to the Smart City Bus Service, is currently in progress at Jadhavwadi. The goal is to enhance the travel experience for everyone involved.

These updated restrooms are not your typical facilities—they’re designed to provide various amenities, along with a separate Command and Control Centre. This center is crucial for efficiently managing transportation within the city.

Recently, Municipal Commissioner G Srikanth personally checked on the construction progress of these facilities at Jadhavwadi. He issued directions to expedite the work, aiming for the depot’s completion by the end of February. It’s all about getting things rolling as quickly as possible!

This bus depot, spanning seven acres, isn’t just any ordinary space. It’s a modern hub designed to accommodate around 250 buses. What’s more, there will be a whopping 50 electric charging points dedicated to electric buses, making it a core location for the city’s bus service. This place will be a one-stop destination, providing facilities for washing, repairing, maintenance, and parking. Plus, they’re constructing a separate administration building too.

The Prime Minister’s E-Bus Service is contributing a staggering 100 electric buses to this Smart City initiative. And guess what? There are plans to soon operate 35 more electric buses, making it a grand total of 135 eco-friendly buses in the depot! Aurangabad Bus Depot

During his inspection, G Srikant stressed the need for top-notch facilities in the restrooms intended for the depot’s drivers and conductors. As part of the Mazi Smart Bus Service, they’re setting up a special Command and Control Room. This room will track buses and streamline communication with drivers and conductors through a dedicated mobile phone app. Additionally, there’s a plan in place for rainwater harvesting.

During the inspection, several key figures from the Smart City were present, ensuring that this futuristic bus depot becomes a reality. Everyone’s coming together to make this place not just functional but a modern, efficient space for smoother travel experiences for all.

The bus depot under Smarty City Development will be expectedly completed by February end.
