Aurangabad Auto Strike

Aurangabad Auto Strike -A faction of autorickshaw unions has declared a token strike scheduled for Wednesday, aligning themselves with transporters protesting the hit-and-run law while pressing for various demands.

It’s noteworthy that an earlier strike planned for January 3 was withdrawn due to disagreements among the unions.

Nisar Ahmed Khan, a leader among autorickshaw drivers, emphasized that vehicles involved in school transportation would also refrain from operating during the strike.

Expressing their discontent, Khan stated, “We can’t agree with the government’s stance on the hit-and-run law. We believe it’s the beginning of more injustice toward the transport sector. It’s our duty to support the fuel suppliers who are standing against this harsh law.” He highlighted the alleged lack of attention from government authorities towards pending demands of autorickshaw drivers as another trigger for calling the strike.
